Dolen Ffermio has helped to fund four highly successful permaculture design courses (PDCs) in Kamuli and Rakai, western Uganda organised firstly by Steve Jones, of Sector 39 and then by our permaculture consultant, Charles Mugarura of BEU Permaculture. We consider permaculture to be the way forward for smallholder farming in Uganda with its ability to maximise production, while conserving the environment. Now it is the turn of Ngora to benefit. The beauty of this training is that it is aimed at teachers and farmers who are in a position to pass on the knowledge and expertise they gain to many others in schools and the wider community. See the poster for details – NB the deadline of 1 November is for people to apply for the course, not for donations.
Dolen Ffermio would really like to fund 15 delegates from Ngora district at a cost of £200 each (with £50 coming from gift aid). We would be extremely grateful for any contribution, large or small, for these places. Please could you contact us if you are able to help to fund the delegates or for more information on permaculture. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
