Another successful Big Give!
Building on last year, Dolen Ffermio has had an even more successful Big Give Christmas Fundraiser in 2021. We are delighted to announce that we have raised £6,750! However, the total from all fundraising efforts over Christmas 2021 totals a massive £10,040!
Building on 9 years of the successful Ngora Orphan and Vulnerable Children’s Project, we’re expanding the idea into an exciting new venture, the Ngora Vocational Training Institute.
Dolen Ffermio has acquired an excellent site for the Institute on 8 acres of land, with plenty of space for classrooms, a library, and workshops, as well as fields for permaculture and agroforestry training, livestock areas, and fish ponds.
Funds from the Big Give will go towards a range of projects which will support the building of the new institute.
Funds for:
- Seeds for training and growing sustainable food
- Tools for building skills training – spades, shovels, wheelbarrows useful for constructng the training institute and permaculture
- Tree and bamboo plants to help combat climate change
- Permaculture training
- Eco-brick making training and machine – for building the institute
” Through permaculture training, we help individuals increase their earning potential and thus their consistent access to food.”

Thank you for your support, the money raised from this year’s Big Give will be used for the development of the Institute through environmentally friendly building methods, tree and bamboo planting, and permaculture food production. We would also like to thank our incredible pledgers and our match funders, The Waterloo Foundation.
