A NEW SEWING PROJECT

Nine women from the goat improvement group, have completed a 7 month training course in sewing. They were each given a treadle sewing machine and a room was rented for the training. They learnt how to make various styles of shirts, blouses, and dresses, including the traditional Gomez, trousers and school uniforms. They were all very happy with the course (as you can see in the photo) and are now ready to take orders (including NOVC uniforms). The income will make a great difference to their lives as they were amongst the most needy in the local community. It would be good if we can replicate this course to benefit more women.
